What you will need: 


Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may help with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. 
Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Education: Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or similar field
Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience.

 

Qualifications: 
 

  • 8+ years total communications, brand and/or marketing experience, with a proven track record in brand, reputation, and outreach leadership.
  • In-house corporate communications experience, communications experience in third sector or agency experience. Account management experience a plus.
  • Experience conceptualizing, implementing, driving, and executing brand strategy work and operationalizing the output across an organization. Experience implementing this is a matrix organization is a plus. 
  • Understands and applies a wide range of data-driven, quantitative, and qualitative communications and branding methodologies, such as drivers of choice, brand, and reputation tracking, NPS and others.
  • Ability to move fast and effectively from idea to execution and orchestrate team activities amplifying outcomes of the strategic planning process. 
  • Familiarity with setting a positioning agenda considering political, cultural, and social issues impacting global landscape.
  • Press operations, media relations and crisis communications dexterity. Media monitoring and press effectiveness.
  • Experience in crafting meaningful events and stakeholder interactions as part of a connected outreach plan.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and managing talent in complex organizations. Work across countries, engaging with corporate, regional, and local offices desired.
  • Proven experience managing a team, accountable for employee life cycle.
  • Proven experience managing budgets and run of function, exhibiting, and driving accountability in the team. 
  • Excellent project management and planning skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and projects in internal and external communications.
  • Innovative and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proven track record of “making things happen”. Creativity, diplomacy, and ability to juggle heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignments.
  •  Excellent problem-solving and project management skills; ability to navigate a complex organization effectively to drive high-impact initiatives.
  • Ability to build trust-based relationships with (senior) partner leaders and functional leaders.

Languages: English and Spanish are required. Portuguese and French are a plus.

Opportunity Summary:
