IDB Invest Financial Instruments Accounting Consultant
What you’ll need:
- Citizenship: If you are not a citizen of United States of America we may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field. CPA, CA, ACCA or CFA equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3 years minimum of relevant professional experience working in the accounting and finance field. Applied working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting procedures. Big Four accounting experience a plus.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish.
Core and Technical Competencies:
- Financial Reporting and Accounting Theory: Understanding of banking industry’s financial reporting, accounting theory and US GAAP accounting principles and rules. Strong analytical skills.
- IT Systems & Applications Knowledge: Proficiency in the use of MS Office package (Excel, Word, PPT). Knowledge of ERP system and data analytical tools is a plus.
- Product knowledge: Knowledge of IDB Invest financial products (loans, debt securities and equities securities, and guarantees) and treasury instruments (bonds, borrowings, money market funds and swaps).
- Financial Markets Knowledge: Understanding of financial market dynamics and the implications for IDB Invest products and strategies.
- Audits: Understanding of audit processes and procedures and ability to apply knowledge to design solutions taking audit requirements into account.
- Collaboration, Teamwork, and Inclusion: Works cooperatively with others independent of background or organizational role and takes a team based and inclusive approach to projects and decision making.
- Innovation and Creativity: Develops imaginative ideas and solutions through creativity, experimentation and critical thinking.
- Communication and Influence: Communicates effectively and leverages relationships and strategies to influence others.
- Client Focus: Understands client needs and provides services that meet their expectations for quality and performance; meets the IDBI’s expectations for ethical behavior.
- Quality and Efficiency in All We Do: Creates and/or implements standards of excellence for products and services ensuring consistency, accuracy, reliability, and efficiency. Continuously seeks new ways to make processes run smoother and faster to enhance outcomes.
