Artificial Intelligence for Knowledge Management - Natural Language Processing and Python Consultant – KIC/KLD

What you’ll need:

• Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB Group.
• Education: Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related field. Desirable Master’s Degree in Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in developing technology solutions and machine learning approaches. Experience in Python programming is required.
• Languages: Fluency in either Spanish or English required.  Advanced knowledge of other language is desired.

Core and Technical Competencies:

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to install, configure and maintain Linux operating systems.
• Ability to operate with relational and non-relational databases. Basic SQL skills are expected.
• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Advance problem solving.
• Advanced data analytics abilities, including big data analysis.
• Advanced web programming abilities desired.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in processing unstructured data, with advanced understanding of natural language processing tools and techniques solutions such as entity extraction, topic modeling, text classification, etc.
• Effective time management practices.
• Engaged, present, and committed to success.
• Experience in developing and designing object-oriented programming solutions.
• Experience with the automatic cleaning and transformation of pdf, word and csv documents.
• Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git (Git portfolio required)
• Experience managing technology projects a plus.
• Familiarity with summarization algorithms, as well as familiarity with evaluation metrics such as ROUGE and METEOR.
• Hands on experience with script creation for data cleaning and transformation.
• In-depth knowledge of word embedding algorithms such as Word2Vec, Doc2Vec, Sense2Vec, and others.
• Knowledge about deploying multi-tenant applications on AWS using multiple services as custom machine learning models.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding team environment. 
• Previous participation in hackathons is a plus.
• Proactive, takes initiative and has self-direction.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Technical documentation.
